GoFundMe Integration

Connect your GoFundMe account to Bonfire to show fundraisers on your campaign pages.

By connecting your GoFundMe account to Bonfire, you’ll unlock the ability to add a link to your GoFundMe fundraisers to your fundraising campaigns.

This can help drive more traffic to your GoFundMe page and increase your donations, as well as let your supporters know they’re in the right place.

Connecting to GoFundMe

To get started, visit the integrations page in your dashboard. Select “Connect” for GoFundMe.

This will take you to the GoFundMe integration page. When you’re not connected, you’ll be prompted to “Sign in with GoFundMe."

This will open up a new tab where you’ll be asked to sign into your GoFundMe account.

Once you successfully sign in to GoFundMe, you’ll be returned to the GoFundMe integration page, where you’ll be able to see all the fundraisers that you created on GoFundMe.

Your account is now successfully connected.

Connecting a GoFundMe fundraiser to a campaign

Note: Before we begin, it’s important to note that you can only connect fundraising campaigns to GoFundMe. This excludes Partial Giving campaigns.

There are two ways to connect a GoFundMe fundraiser to a Bonfire campaign.

  1. When you’re creating or editing a campaign

  2. From the GoFundMe integration page

We’ll go through the steps for each option.

Connecting a GoFundMe fundraiser when creating or editing a campaign

When you’re on step 4 of creating or editing a campaign, you’ll see a preview of your campaign page. Just underneath the “Add to cart” button, you’ll see an option to “Connect your GoFundMe."

Note: This will only appear if you’ve already connected your GoFundMe account and the campaign is a fundraising campaign.

Clicking this button will open a modal with a list of available GoFundMe fundraisers that you can connect to this campaign.

Select the GoFundMe fundraiser and click “Connect.” You can only connect one GoFundMe fundraiser to a Bonfire campaign.

Once connected, you’ll now see the GoFundMe fundraiser on your campaign.

To change or remove the connected fundraiser, click the “X” remove button. Once removed, you can then connect a different fundraiser.

Connecting a GoFundMe fundraiser to a campaign from the integration page

From the GoFundMe integration page, you can easily connect multiple campaigns to a GoFundMe fundraiser in a single step.

Select “Connect to campaigns” on the GoFundMe fundraiser that you want to connect.

Note: If you see a number in brackets, this indicates the number of campaigns already connected to this GoFundMe fundraiser.

This will open a modal containing a list of Bonfire campaigns that you’ve created. If the campaign is greyed out, it means the campaign is not a fundraising campaign, and therefore it cannot be connected.

Select the campaigns you want to connect to this GoFundMe fundraiser, and click “Confirm.”

To disconnect a campaign from this modal, uncheck the selected campaign and click “Confirm” again.
