This article walks you through adding a product that Bonfire prints and ships directly to your buyers. You pick the product, upload your design, and set your price, and we handle production, packing, and shipping every time someone orders.

Choose a product
Start by picking the items you want to sell. You can design one product at a time or apply the same artwork to several at once.
From your dashboard, go to Products.
Click the Add product button, and choose to Design a new product.
Browse by category or use the filters and search.
Click a product to see its details and view or change the decoration technique.
Select the color options you’d like (up to 5), then click Add product.
If you’d like to use the same artwork across multiple products, you can continue adding products to customize, up to 12 total products.
Once you’re ready to add artwork, click the Customize products button.
Note: If you want to print on the sleeve of an apparel item, you will need to design that product individually.
Design a product
Now it's time to add your artwork. The product creator has three tabs on the left sidebar:
Product: View the product(s) you’re customizing, view or change the decoration technique, add more products, and edit colors of products you’ve chosen
Designs: Create your own design with templates, text, and shapes, or apply one you've already made
Uploads: View, apply, and manage your previously uploaded artwork
Ways to add artwork
You can add artwork to a product in any of these ways:
Upload a file: Click Add artwork on the product preview, or go to the Uploads tab, then click Upload new (PNG, JPG, or SVG, up to 20 MB).
Reuse an upload: Go to the Uploads tab and click any file you've uploaded before.
Create or apply a design: Go to the Designs tab. Click Create new to build a design from scratch, or click Apply on a design you've already saved.

💡 Creating a design: The design editor lets you start from a template or a blank canvas. You can add text, shapes, and icons, bring in your uploads, and adjust colors, fonts, and effects. When you're done, click Save design and give it a name. It'll be saved to your Designs tab so you can use it on your products in the future. See Creating and editing designs.
Adding artwork to a single product
Select the area you'd like to print on (for example, on a shirt: Front, Back, Right Sleeve, or Left Sleeve).
Add your artwork using any of the options above.
Resize and position the artwork on the product.
To remove the background from an uploaded image, click the artwork, click the ••• menu icon, then click Remove background.
Once your artwork looks the way you want, click Continue.
Adding shared artwork across multiple products
On one product, select the print area.
Some print areas aren't available when designing across multiple products (for example, sleeves on apparel must be designed individually).
Add your artwork using any of the options above.
Resize and position the artwork on your products. You can choose to apply resizing and positioning to all apparel (if applicable), this product only, or all products.
To remove the background from an uploaded image, click the artwork, click the ••• menu icon, then click Remove background.
Once your artwork looks the way you want across all products, click Continue.
Set product details
This is where you decide how your product shows up in your store: name it, set your price, organize it into collections, and add your own photos.
Name: What the product is called and what shoppers will see
Description (optional): Tell shoppers about the product
Collections: Every product is added to the All Products collection. Click Add to collection to add it to an existing one, or click Manage collections which will take you to the Collections tab of the website editor.
Price: Enter your selling price. You'll see your earnings per sale on your current plan. Click Base cost to see the breakdown: production cost, credit card fees and platform fee.
Colors: Drag to reorder the colors as they appear on your product page. To swap a color, for example if one is out of stock, click Edit next to the product.
Photos: Upload your own product photos, such as lifestyle shots or flat lays.
Make it active
You did it! Your product is ready for the world.
New products are saved as Draft. When you're ready to start selling, click Make active, then Save. Your product instantly gets its own page on your website. Click See page to check it out and share it with your buyers.
👀 Seeing "Available soon" on the product page? That means you haven’t connected your bank account yet to receive payments. Set it up from the Payments page in your dashboard to start selling.
Order a sample
Want to see and feel your product before your buyers do? Order a sample! Your first sample order gets Super plan pricing, no matter which plan you're on, so it's the perfect time to try it out.
Click Order samples at the top of the product page.
Choose your colors and sizes, then add them to your cart.
You'll find your sample orders under Orders → Samples.
