Introduction

When you integrate your Classy account with Bonfire, you can connect events (Classy campaigns) for users to select when creating new campaigns on Bonfire.

Supporter information is then automatically sent to your Classy account, keeping all your data in one place.

Campaign proceeds can also be attributed to specific teams or individuals.

Before you begin

To connect your Classy account with Bonfire, you will need account access to both your organization’s Classy account and your organization account on Bonfire.

Connecting your Classy account

To start the integration setup, log in to your Bonfire account and navigate to the Integrations page in your dashboard.

Note: If you cannot see this page, then you’ll need to get in touch with us so that we can enable it for you.

Click the Connect button next to Classy. This will start the integration setup flow.

Create a Classy app

The first step of the integration is to create a Classy app.

Log into your Classy organization account and navigate to Apps & Extensions in the sidebar, then click on Classy API.

Create a new app with the name Bonfire, and enter the following as the Oauth2 Redirect URI:

https://bonfire.com

Ensure the checkbox is checked and then click Create App.

With your Classy app created, you can now return to Bonfire to continue the integration setup.

Client ID and Secret

Finally, you’ll need to enter your Client ID and Client Secret from the Classy app that you just created in a previous step.

Head back over to your Classy account and open up the app you just made for Bonfire.

Copy and paste the Client ID and Client Secret into the fields on Bonfire, and then click Continue.

Organization ID

Next up, you’ll need to enter your 5-digit organization ID. This is found in the URL when viewing your Classy dashboard.

Enter this number in the integration setup on Bonfire and click Continue.

Note: You can only connect a Classy account with a single Bonfire account. If you are a chapter organization, you will need your own chapter Classy account if you want to use it with Bonfire.

Congratulations! You should now be connected and able to start selecting your events from Classy.

Next steps

Now that you’ve successfully connected your Classy account with Bonfire, you can connect and manage events created on Classy.

With events connected, you and your supporters can create campaigns, choose to send the proceeds directly to the event on Classy, and even select a team or individual as the beneficiary.

Bonfire will automatically forward data to Classy once connected, however, you can choose to manually sync the data and also have the data forwarded to third-party software such as Salesforce. These options can be found within the integration settings.
